Hand-Dyed in Cork, Ireland – each skein is unique with the color depth Hedgehog Fibres is known for.

Sock Yarn is the flagship of Hedgehog Fibres: 90% Superwash Merino and 10% Nylon, mulesing-free, hand-dyed in small batches. The Merino provides softness, the Nylon provides the durability that sock yarn needs. The colors are applied to minimize striping and pooling – the result is complex, variegated color gradients that look just as impressive in stockinette stitch as in patterns. No skein is the same as another, and that is exactly the intention.

With 400 m per 100 g, one skein is enough for a complete pair of adult socks. But Sock Yarn can do more than socks: shawls, gloves, and fine accessories also benefit from the color intensity and soft hand feel. For multicolor projects, it’s worth buying all skeins from the same dye lot.
