Knit by Numbers is the revolutionary color system from John Arbon Textiles: Instead of poetic color names, the series works with numbers in 6 shades from dark to light. This makes Color Combinations predictable, gradients calculable, and gives you full control over your color play. The base is a blend of 50% Bluefaced Leicester and 50% Falkland-Merino – the Leicester brings silky Sheen, the Merino Softness. Spun at the Devon mill, not superwash.

With 400 m per 100 g in fingering weight, Knit by Numbers 4ply is ideal for Sweaters, Shawls, Socks, and especially Colorwork projects where precise color gradations make the difference. Fading projects, stripe combinations, and tonal gradients work particularly well with this system. Hand Wash in cold water, Devon tradition.
