100% Alpaca, spun ultra-fine – perfect as a solo yarn for lace projects or as a companion yarn that adds softness and warmth to anything.

Titicaca is Holst Garn’s 2-ply Alpaca yarn in lace weight: 400 m per only 50 g, feather-light and with the typical warm, soft hand feel that only Alpaca provides. The fiber warms without weight, is naturally hypoallergenic, and feels comfortable directly on the skin. The colors are – as with all Holst Garn yarns – carefully coordinated with Coast and Supersoft, making combination projects effortless.

Knitted alone, it’s perfect for shawls and scarves that float rather than hang. When knitted together with Coast or Supersoft, Titicaca adds a light fluff and warmth – similar to Mohair, but with the distinctive character of Alpaca. Rule of thumb: add half a Needle Size when combining.
